This section discusses how to work with Program Goals for your clients.
Working With Program Goals
Program Goals are useful tools for tracking and documenting progress within a Program. In many cases, clients must reach certain Program Goals in order to exit the program.
To begin working with Program Goals, go to the Programs tab and select the Edit icon that appears on the left.
Go to the Goals tab within the Program screen. Here you will encounter the following scenarios:
- No goals are listed. You will need to add a new goal.
- Goals are already listed. These are goals that are automatically assigned when the client is enrolled.
Adding a Program Goal
To add a program goal, go to the Goals tab of your program screen and select the Add Goal link as indicated below:
A popup box will appear. Select the desired goal from those listed in the menu. The goal you select will be listed under Program goals.
Working With Auto-Assigned Program Goals
Some program goals will be automatically assigned when you enroll a client into a program. If a program has auto-assigned program goals, the following popup will appear after you enroll the client. Click the X to close the popup box.
Documenting Program Goals
The process of documenting when a client accomplishes a program goal is the same regardless of whether you added the goal or the goal was auto-assigned.
The accomplishment of a goal can be documented using two methods:
- Through a program status assessment
- By providing a Program Service
To document that a client did indeed acquire SSDI benefits, the user can conduct a program status assessment. The link to add a program status assessment is located in the right sidebar.
The status assessment allows the user to document the achievement of the goal.
This achievement is now reflected in the Goals tab as indicated by the green checkmark.
When the client receives a service aligned with the Counseling goal...
…it will be automatically be reflected in the Goals tab as achieved.
