File Categories can be used to organize files that are uploaded into a client record.
To manage File Categories, go to Setup > Settings > Advanced Options (right sidebar) > File Categories.
Adding a New File Category
To add a new File Category, select the Add Category link at the top right corner of the center screen.
This will take you to the Create A New File Category screen, where you will enter the name of the new file category. Once you have titled the new file category, select Add Record.
This will add the File Category to the list of categories that appear in the Files tab of the client profile (when adding a file), as indicated below.
Adding File Names Within a File Category
After Selecting Add Record, the File Names section of the screen will appear below. Here you can begin adding File Names. To add a new File Name, select the Add File Name link. This will take you to the Add File Name screen. Here you will title the new File Name and select Add Record to save.
The new file name will now appear on the main Modify File Category screen.
It will also appear when the appropriate File Category is selected in the Files tab of the client profile, as indicated below.
Editing and Deleting a File Category
To edit a File Category, go to Launchpad > Setup > Settings > Advanced Options (right sidebar) > File Categories, and mouseover the desired File Category in the list. Click on the Edit icon that appears to the left of the File Category name.
This will take you the Modify File Category screen. Here you can rename the file category, add a new File Name, or edit/delete an existing File Name.
