File Categories are used to organize files that are uploaded into a client record. To manage File Categories, go to Setup > Settings > Advanced Options > File Categories.
Adding a New File Category
To add a new File Category, click Create a New File Category.
This will take you to the Create A New File Category page, where you will enter the name of the new file category. Once you have titled the new file category, click Save Changes.
This will add the file category to the list of categories that appear in the Files tab of the client record (when adding a new file.
Adding File Names Within a File Category
After clicking Add Record, the file Names Section will appear. Here you can begin adding file names. To add a new file name, click Add File Name. This will take you to the Add File Name page. Here you will title the new File Name and click Add Record to save.
The file name will appear when the corresponding File Category is selected in the Files tab of the client record.
Editing and Deleting a File Category
To edit a File Category, click the edit icon to the left of the File Category name. This will take you the Edit File Category page. Here you can rename the file category, add a new File Name, or edit/delete an existing File Name.
