NOTE: It is possible to automate the creation of Goals for repetitious programs. Some programs require the exact same Goals, and the creation of these Goals must be replicated when creating the programs—which can make program creation tedious and time-consuming. The Automated Provisioning feature saves time by eliminating the need to manually configure Goals (as well as Services/Service Items, Documents, and Chart Fields) when setting up such programs. Note that you must first set up the Goals (process described below) before applying Automatic Provisioning.
Program Goals are useful tools for tracking and documenting progress within a Program. In many cases, clients must reach certain Program Goals in order to exit the program.
Creating a Goal
To create a Default Program Goal, go to Launchpad > Manage > Programs, mouseover the program you wish to modify, and select the Edit icon that appears to the left.
This will take you to the Modify Program screen. Make sure that Goals are enabled, by toggling the switch. Then scroll down and select Save Changes.
Once Goals have been enabled. Scroll down to the Default Goals section, and select the Add New Goal link.
A popup box will appear. Select the desired goal from the menu.
Select Add to implement the Default Program Goal.
The Default Program Goal will now automatically accompany any program enrollment. When you enroll a client in the program a popup will appear with the information about the Default Program goal.
Notice that you can also add a new goal from within the client record by selecting the Add Goal link. This will allow you to add any client-specific goals.
Deleting a Goal
To erase a Default Program Goal, go back to the Modify Program screen, mouseover the Default Goal, and select the trashcan icon. This will permanently delete the goal.
