Last week, HUD released Part 1 of the 2016 Annual Homeless Assessment Report (AHAR). This report details the findings of the 2016 PIT and HIC counts, including estimates for homeless veterans, unaccompanied youth, families with children, individuals, and chronically homeless persons.
As usual, HUD did a great job presenting the AHAR data. But perhaps you don't quite have the time this week (especially with Thanksgiving coming up!) to really sit down with this year's AHAR. Maybe all you have time for today is a quick summary.
We've put together a blog post that provides a 30-second summary, as well as a 7-minute summary. These were written to offer you the most important information from the 2016 AHAR if that's all you have time for right now.
We hope you have a good rest of the work week and a happy Thanksgiving!
